Nouvelle Écosse

On the occasion of a Wednesday off I would like to share with you my experience in Nova Scotia this past May.


Staple cloud photo flying over Canada on my way to the sweet little Atlantic province I dreamed of visiting for years.


I opened the blinds the morning after I arrived to see this - the village of Salmon River Bridge.




My first Nova Scotia beach.






My first Nova Scotia national park "Taylor Head". Fog. Grey sea and white sand. Eerie forest.


Abandoned house along the Eastern shore.




My second Nova Scotia beach that stretched for miles along a pennisula on the Atlantic ocean outside of the tiny village of Boylston.

My last day in Nova Scotia, after going to Cape Breton and driving through many a village I ended up at the Northumberland Strait for dinner. Stunning beach. waves and soft sand. PEI in the distant horizon.








and this is where I feel most at home - with nothing before except open water.

Alors, il y a belle lurette depuis j'étais au Texas. Il ben faut mettre des photos - et alors aujourd'hui vous êtes chanceuse parce que les photos de Texas (holga et polaroid) sont prêt à télécharger!

Alors (j'aime beaucoup dire alors aujourd'hui!) on commence par les Polaroids:

Voilà le salon de chez Tori et Tyler. J'ai passé plein de moments au beau soleil ici.



LE state capitol. C'est difficile de voir dans cette photo, mais il y a le drapeau Américain, et puis, le drapeau du TEXAS juste au-dessous de la dame d'or!!!! On peut voir le state capitol jusqu'au but de l'avenue Congress!


Ce jour là, je suis allée au centre pour maganiser (j'ai acheté plein chose sur la rue South Congress - aka SoCo!!), et puis voir les musées d'arts (AMOA, et ARTHOUSE at the Jones Centre) mais pendant mon retour chez nous j'étais presque frapper par un con qui parlait sur son cellulaire pendant de conduire! Alors, j'ai marché jusqu'à la maison et pendant ce voyage de pied j'ai trouvé ce truc - je pense que c'est une espace de maison pour les oiseaux ou (même mieux!) les chauves-souris!!!




Pendant un autre tour en vélo au quartier Hyde Park - une maison avec une fenêtre suspendue d'un arbre! For-for-formidable!


Voilà ma dernière journée au Texas on est allés à San Antoinio. Ici on est sur le marche de la rivière. Très beau. Très Texan.



Au ben milieu de San Antoinio (ou San Antoin pour les Texans!) - le signe là dit "Cactus Ho" hahahaaaa! C'est Tori qui l'a trouvé, alors merci Tori!!




Maintenant, on continue par les images Holgas!


Encore le beau salon de T et T! et W!! Je l'aime beaucoup.


Un beau petit magasin de la crème glacé!!! J'ai mangé une glace de "Shiner" (une bière de Texas). Au Mexique c'était la glace de Tequila. Au Texas de la bière!!! C'est les coleurs et le vélo qui m'intéressé là. Comme toujours mon Holga l'a bien prit!


Un petit voyage au super marché pour le dîner. Voilà on est bien dessous le "innerstate". Il y a rien comme l'auto route au Texas (on le voit bien quoi?!)



Un tour en vélo le dimanche matin. L'air était frais et plein des parfums de printemps; les arbres redbud étaient tout en fleur. Le soleil doux et m'a rechauffé de notre hiver longe. Malheursement, un problème très let se produisait avec mon appareil Holga, mais la mèmoire est tourjours très belle.




Pendant le même voyage en vélo.


À l'extérieur de Java Joes où travail Wesley. Et là on boit de bon café (GRATUIT!!!) Das ist sehr prima!!




Dîner au Foodheads - une maison très chouette à côté!



Un bâitement délabre au centre (sur l'avenue congress)




Un resto avec une forchette énorme!!



Une caractéristique architectural... sur la maison de quelqu'un!

Un terrain de jeu abandonner. Beau et triste au même temps.




Et voilà mes photos de Texas et une poste tout en français (avec quelques mots allemands!)!

the colour of dreams

In another lifetime, in another town, country and on a different street, this house would be my home. Pink with shutters and a white picket fence, a sweet little flower garden and fairy lights decorating that big old tree, I would inhabit every corner of that house, every creak in the floor would be mine.
But not in this lifetime, not in this town.
I'll find this sweet little pink house elsewhere.




And this day, when I found my little pink house, was a strange day. I drove home in a blur, on Lakeshore Rd E.
